UK set for balanced growth, says index

The UK is heading for a period of balanced economic growth as companies’ confidence about the future stabilises, research claimed today.

BDO Stoy Hayward said its index which measures business optimism had edged down by 0.2 points to 101 in March, the first fall since October 2002.
