NTL subscribers get new music channel

Cable TV provider NTL has added a new music channel to its service.

The 'Music Factory' - which begins broadcasting on April 5 - brings to 16 the number of channels now available to basic subscribers in the Dublin, Galway and Waterford regions.

The basic cable television package from NTL includes a mix of Irish indigenous channels and popular UK terrestrial channels.

NTL said it also plans to introduce further new programming in Dublin, Waterford and Galway in the near future.

The Music Factory is a new, youth-orientated music channel from MTV.

In a recent performance survey, conducted by BARB in the UK, The Music Factory was the fourth most watched digital channel amongst 16-34-year-old DTT viewers.

Mark Mohan, Sales & Marketing Director of NTL Ireland said: "We are delighted to present TMF to our customers as the 16th channel in our basic cable television line up.

"This enables our customers to benefit from even more choice as well as getting the best value from Ireland's local and trusted operator of multichannel television services," Mohan added.
