Baltimore plan to deliver clean energy solutions
Baltimore Technologies PLC have announced plans for a board re-shuffle and unveiled a new strategy to deliver clean energy solutions to business.
This move comes in response to shareholder Acquisitor Holdings who had previously moved to unseat the board and demanded answers from management concerning what it claims to be "potentially misleading accounting issues".
Baltimore, whose offerings include public key infrastructure security products, user access and authorisation software, and cryptographic hardware and software applications, also offer secure socket layer (SSL) products, as well as development toolkits.
The group announced that David Weaver has been named chief executive.
Weaver is former managing director Europe, BP Gas, Power and Renewables and former CEO, International, and Vice President of CMS Energy Inc.
Bijan Khezri is to become non-executive chairman upon Weaver's appointment as CEO.
Part of Baltimore's new growth strategy involves a proposed change of name.
It will also seek to drive revenue growth by managing its customers' mix of energy requirements to "optimise their sourcing, maximise savings and displace traditional fuels".
