NIA scores in best fund awards

New Ireland Assurance has won two of the four fund categories in this year's MoneyMate Investment Awards.

The life assurance firm collected in the "Unit Linked Fund Manager" and "Best Managed Growth Unit Linked Fund" sections. Bank of Ireland Asset Management Limited (BIAM) is the fund manager for NIA.

The Managing Director of Bank of Ireland Life, Brian Forrester, said today: "This result reaffirms the investment capabilities of the New Ireland/BIAM partnership and demonstrates our real leadership in this area.

"These awards highlight our outstanding ability to manage our customers' money better than many of our competitors," he added.

The annual awards began in 1993 and recognise excellence in fund performance within the Irish Financial Services Industry.
