Ulster Bank has said that it has bought Easycash, the company that provides cash machines in retail outlets, for an undisclosed sum. Ulster Bank said it is to retain the Easycash's brand and that its own financial strength will facilitate a more rapid introduction of ATMs.

Easycash was founded by former Esat Telecom director Mark Roden in 2002 and is Ireland's largest specialist ATM management services company. It currently has more than 330 ATMs in retail locations in Ireland.
