Kerry Airport to benefit from Ryanair schedule

Ryanair is to add extra services to London from Dublin and Kerry, as part of its new summer schedule.

From April 29, the low-fares operator will increase its five daily scheduled flights from Dublin to London Gatwick airport to six flights daily.

It will also add a second daily flight to London Stansted from Kerry Airport, which will deliver an additional 100,000 passengers through the south-west airport this year.

Since Ryanair began its daily London route from Kerry in June 1997, it has carried almost 600,000 passengers to London.

Ryanair also announced today new daily services London – Brindisi (Italy) and Frankfurt Hahn – Jerez (Spain), and increased frequency on its London Stansted routes to Jerez, Carcassonne, Nimes and Pisa.

However, the company also confirmed that it will cease operations on its London Stansted – Groningen (Holland) service on April 28 this year.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Paul Fitzsimmons said today: "This year Ryanair will carry over 23 million passengers on 147 routes across 16 European countries, saving consumers over €2.3bn on air fares.

"The additional new services from Dublin and Kerry to London will mean an extra 200,000 people this year will avail of Ryanair’s low fares, unbeatable punctuality and customer service.

"Our continued expansion in Spain and Italy from the UK and Germany further demonstrates our commitment to bringing Ryanair’s low fares to millions more ordinary European consumers," he added.
