Conference to mark European Consumer Day
A conference to make consumers aware of the European on-line marketplace is being organised to mark European Consumer Day as part of the Irish Presidency.
Supported by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, the conference is being run next Monday, March 15, with the support of the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee.
European Union stakeholders like government officials, consumer groups, members of the European Economic and Social Committee and MEPs will have the opportunity to put some input into the policy-making process of the European Union in this area.
David Byrne, Ireland's European Union Commissioner for Health and Consumer Protection, will be among the speakers.
