Bank of Ireland to Host Women Trading Globally conference in Dublin
Dublin will play host to 500 of the world's top women business executives when it welcomes the next international conference of the Global Banking Alliance for Women here in 2006.
The 2006 event will be hosted by Bank of Ireland, one of six banks worldwide that have been recognised by the OECD as following best practice for programmes for women.
The Alliance has a biannual conference and trade mission that features presentations from global trade experts, international business matching and plenary sessions.
Over 400 banking, financial services and commercial executives are booked to attend this year's event which is taking place in Toronto later this month. The growing relevance of the debate at the world forum is expected to lead to an even bigger attendance in Dublin two years from now.
Ms Anne Horan, Managing Director, Bank of Ireland Finance, said: "We are pleased to have this opportunity to project Ireland and women business leaders here on the international stage.
"It is an opportunity to make connections, but also to learn and to actually do business that might not otherwise happen."
