The British government is this week expected to announce plans for a minimum wage for 16 and 17-year-old workers amid new research showing that more young people have part time jobs to boost their income.

The British government is this week expected to announce plans for a minimum wage for 16 and 17-year-old workers amid new research showing that more young people have part time jobs to boost their income.

The statutory rate has only applied to workers over the age of 18 since it was brought in five years ago.
