British workers believe their government should introduce “sin taxes” on household waste and fast food in a bid to raise finances, according to a new survey today.

A poll of 2,000 adults showed that 55% would be in favour of extra taxes on non-biodegradable household waste such as plastic bags or disposable nappies.
