Redundancy figures rising for 2004

Latest figures released by the Department of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment reveal that 2,353 job losses were notified during the month.

Redundancies increased by 12.9% year-on-year according to reports for February.

This number was also ahead of January, when 2,287 people received notification of redundancy, a 5% increase on the same period for 2003.
