Hewlett-Packard says it has signed its "largest-ever imaging and printing services contract" with Ford Motor .

HP provides enterprise and consumer customers a full range of high-tech products, and has an IT service organisation that is among the world's largest.

The company has seen extensive restructuring under the leadership of CEO Carly Fiorina, who spearheaded the largest deal in tech sector history: the acquisition of Compaq Computer in a stock transaction valued at approximately $19bn (€15.33bn)

The company didn't provide financial terms but it said the deal builds on total print management wins first announced in October that to date amount to more than $650m (€524.64m).

The contract covers 150,000 users and calls for optimisation of more than 15,000 printing devices in the US and Europe.

Shares of HP, a Dow component, closed yesterday at $23 (€18.56), up 1.3%.
