Cornerstone locates to NovaUCD

E-learning company Cornerstone Knowledge International has located to NovaUCD, University College Dublin's €10m innovation and technology transfer centre.

Cornerstone International develops, localises and delivers classroom and e-learning training courses for computer software workers and other professionals in the Asia Pacific market, especially China, Hong Kong and Japan.

The company has already signed two deals to bring the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) programme to China and believes that by locating in NovaUCD will provide it with the support infrastructure needed to increase its presence in the growing Asia Pacific market.

The firm's Director of Business Development, Kraken Yu said today : "By locating in NovaUCD, Cornerstone International now has the ability to tap into a huge reservoir of accumulated research and entrepreneurial knowledge that will help us to continue to produce innovative products capable of winning further international contracts in the software development and e-learning related market places."

UCD's technology centre aims to nurture new technology and knowledge-intensive enterprises.

It has over 40 incubation units and provides innovators and entrepreneurs with the necessary support and knowledge to take their ideas from proof of principle to commercial success.

The centre is funded on a public-private partnership basis.
