House price inflation set to fall to 6%

House price inflation is set to drop from 14% last year to 6% for 2004, according to the latest Bank of Ireland house price index.

This will bring an end to double-digit growth each year in nine of the past 10 years and will bring the price of an average house in Ireland to €291,000 and to €385,000 in Dublin.
