BT boss takes the rein at Selfridge’s
Brown Thomas boss Mr Paul Kelly has been named as the next CEO of British retailing group Selfridge and Co.
Kelly will replace long standing CEO Peter Williams, and will also retain his position as head of Brown Thomas.
Galen Weston, the Canadian owner of the Brown Thomas, bought the Selfridge's group of stores last year for £860m (€1257m).
Kelly joined Brown Thomas 20 years ago as deputy managing director and became managing director 10 years ago.
Selfridge's has four outlets in Britain; one in Birmingham, two in Manchester and its flagship Oxford Street store in London. American Gordon Selfridge, who had been a junior partner at department store Marshall Field in Chicago, founded the Oxford Street store in 1909.
