IL&P announces Secretary to retire

Irish Life & Permanent announced today that Group Secretary Seán Ryan is to retire in May.

Irish Life & Permanent announced today that Group Secretary Seán Ryan is to retire in May.

The company said in a statement that Ryan will be succeeded by Ciarán Long, currently General Manager in the Pensions area within the Group.

Speaking today, Roy Douglas, Chairman of Irish Life & Permanent paid tribute to Seán Ryan: “Seán's term as Company Secretary has coincided with a period of enormous corporate change and development for the Group.

"Originally appointed as Company Secretary of what was then Irish Life plc in 1990, Seán has

provided invaluable assistance to the Board during his many years in this important role and we are greatly indebted to him.”
