SIPTU warning on minimum wage policing

As the national minimum wage is about to rise, SIPTU is warning we do not have enough people to police it.

There are 17 Labour Inspectors in the country, but the country's biggest union says we need more.

The minimum wage goes up to €7 an hour tomorrow.

SIPTU says that many people do not realise they are entitled to it.

National Equality Secretary, Rosheen Callender, says too many employers are getting away with paying too little.
