Euro zone's economy sentiment improves

The European Commission said today that the euro zone economic sentiment indicator rose to 95.8 in January from 95.6 in December.

The commission said its industrial confidence indicator improved to minus 7 from minus 8.

The Commission's business climate indicator also rebounded in January, to 0.04 from 0.03 in December, lead by increased optimism about export orders and production.

The commission added, however, that the economic sentiment indicator was calculated without data for France and was therefore not strictly comparable with the December level.
