Two tax deadlines hovering

There are two important tax deadlines imminent. The first is Capital Gains Tax on disposals made in the final quarter of last year, which should be paid to the Revenue by tomorrow.

The second is the returns from benefit in kind (BIK), which following the 2004 budget, have now become directly taxable. Employers face a February 14 deadline for the first returns to be paid.
