New appointments to greyhound board

Sports Minister John O'Donoghue today announced new appointments to the Board of Bórd na gCon.

Mr Tony McKenna and Mr Paraic Feeney were both appointed to the board. Mr Feeney, who replaced Mr Tom Griffin, who resigned from the Board, will hold office for the remainder of his term, which is due to expire on December 30, 2004.

Ms Helen Nugent of the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism was re-appointed to the board.

The term of office of Mr Tony McKenna and Ms Helen Nugent will be three years with effect from January 28, 2004.
