Londis group sales flying
ADM Londis today announced that group sales for 2003 were over €500m and up 14% on 2002.
The company expanded last year by opening new stores and buying the 50% of the Topshop convenience store chain that it did not already own.
Commenting on the results Stephen O'Riordan, Executive Director ADM Londis stated "We are very pleased with our sales growth in what was a very competitive year for the retail sector and our rapid expansion demonstrates that our franchisees recognise the quality of the service we offer".
He added "we plan to open a further 30 stores in the coming year with the creation of 600 new jobs".
The ADM Londis group employs over 4,500 staff and there are now almost 300 stores trading under the Londis brand.
