Mentec acquires Belfast-based Transfare Solutions

Irish e-business solutions company Mentec International announced today it has acquired Belfast-based software firm Transfare Solutions.

Kevin Haverty, chief executive of Mentec International, said the acquisition was part of the company's strategy of expanding its product portfolio and geographic base.

He said: "This provides us with a direct presence in Northern Ireland for the first time and also adds a market-leading solution that fits in perfectly with our product portfolio."

Mentec employs around 130 people at its Dublin headquarters in Dun Laoghaire.
