Luke Johnson named new Channel 4 chairman
Entrepreneur Luke Johnson has been named the new chairman of Channel 4.
Johnson, the former head of the Pizza Express chain, is viewed as a surprise choice after speculation that ex-Coca-Cola UK head Penny Hughes would get the job.
Mr Johnson replaces Vanni Treves with a £67,500 (€98,200) salary for three years.
Johnson is also chairman of Signature Restaurants, which owns the Belgo chain and the Ivy restaurant in London.
