Honeywell to cut 82 Waterford jobs

US manufacturing and technology group Honeywell said it is laying off 82 workers at its car parts manufacturing plant in Waterford city.

The redundancies affect the factory formerly known as Garrett Ireland at the Waterford Industrial Estate.

The company said it would take steps to ensure the redundancies were voluntary.

The Dow Jones listed Honeywell employs approximately 100,000 people in 95 countries.
