SRH announces upbeat financial results

Scottish Radio Holdings (SRH) has reported a 7.7% rise in like-for like sales for the first quarter of the year.

Total sales from continuing operations for the period October-November 2003 rose 11.3% from the same period a year earlier.

In a statement at the group's AGM today, chairman Lord Gordon of Strathblane said like-for-like radio revenues were up 10.5% compared with the corresponding period last year, while Score Press like-for-like sales grew 4.0%.

The group will announce its interim results on May 20.

Among 23 radio stations, SRH owns TodayFM in Dublin and CoolFM in the North. The company’s Score Press division features 43 local weekly newspapers based in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
