bmi scoops Irish award for second year running
bmi has been named as the Best Ireland/Europe Airline for 2003 at the annual Irish Travel Trade Awards, for the second year in a row.
Commenting on bmi's success at the awards in Dublin, Austin Reid, CEO of bmi said: "The Dublin-London Heathrow route is one of bmi's most vibrant routes in its network of 40 destinations and is one we have continued to invest in."
The airline, which operates eight daily return flights on the Dublin-London Heathrow route, first entered the Irish marketplace in 1989.
Recently, bmi announced new services from Knock airport to Glasgow with bmi Regional, and from Knock to Manchester with bmibaby, bmi's low-cost carrier subsidiary.
