CD-WOW prices increase today

Irish consumers are facing higher CD prices on the internet from today.

One of the top retailers of CDs online, CD-Wow, has agreed to stop importing cheaply from the Far East, in order to avoid a court battle with the Irish and British music industries over trade laws.

Consumer spokesman Tim Young is disappointed at the companies’ cynicism and described their action as "going against the economic principles of globalisation".
