Galen gets three year contract to chew on

Northern Ireland pharmaceutical company Galen Holdings said today it has won three-year exclusivity for its Ovcon product.

Ovcon is marketed in the US by Galen's subsidiary Warner Chilcott. The new product is in the form of chewable tablets.

Last November Galen chief Roger Boissonneault said that the Ovcon franchise had grown by almost 30% in the last year.
