Galen gets patent for oral contraceptive

Pharmaceuticals group Galen – based in Craigavon in Northern Ireland – has been given a US patent for its chewable oral contraceptive Ovcon 35.

Galen Holdings PLC is an international pharmaceutical company focused on the core therapeutic areas of women's healthcare and dermatology.

They develop, manufacture, supply and market branded prescription pharmaceutical products in the US, UK and Ireland.
