Boots signs deal to distribute Additions fashion catalogue

The Barclay brothers' Shop Direct Group has signed a deal with Boots Group PLC that will see the health and beauty retailer distribute its Additions Direct fashion catalogue.

Boots is a leading pharmacy chain with about 1,400 shops throughout Britain and Ireland.

Shop Direct purchased GUS PLC's stable of home shopping brands, including Argos Additions, in May, and is to re-launch the catalogue as Additions Direct.

About two million copies of the new Additions Direct catalogue will be available to shoppers in over 300 Boots stores from January 17 next.

The spring/summer 2004 edition will feature own label fashion collections as well as a range of products for the home and includes brands such as CK by Calvin Klein, Oasis, and Miss Sixty.

Boots said it may explore other mutually beneficial initiatives with Shop Direct over time.
