US audit board to begin 'Big 4' review next year
The US audit oversight board is set to begin its inspections of the "Big 4" accounting firms in May 2004, finishing them by October or November, according to its chairman William McDonough.
The initial inspections have focused on "tone at the top" and compensation practices for senior partners at the Big 4.
