Bombardier dispute set to limp into new year

The long-standing dispute between management and unions at Bombardier Shorts over future pay contracts looks set to drag on into the new year.

Amicus and the T&G, which have around 4,500 members at the Canadian aerospace firm's four Northern Ireland sites, said negotiations will be adjourned until after Christmas.

The announcement is yet another setback for industrial relations at the plant, which had seemed to be improving recently.
