Shipping IT company to set up headquarters in Cork

Cork City is soon to benefit from 30 new jobs when Transas Limited establishes headquarters in Little Island.

Transas is an international manufacturer and supplier of software, IT solutions and integrated systems for the marine Industry,

The Cork operation will co-ordinate and manage the company's worldwide operations, supporting subsidiaries and firms in Russia, the UK, America, Germany, Sweden, China and Singapore.

Its clients include the Irish Navy, British Royal Navy, US Navy and several shipping lines.
