Disney scion resigns from corporation

County Cork resident, Roy Disney, has resigned as a Director of the Walt Disney Corporation in a row over the direction of the company.

In what's seen as one of the biggest corporate surprises in recent US business history, Roy Disney handed in his resignation over criticism of company Chief Executive Micheal Eisner.

Roy Disney is a significant contributor to the Ireland Funds which promote cross-border initiatives.
