DCBA welcomes Dublin Bus initiatives for shoppers
The Dublin City Business Association (DCBA), has welcomed the range of consumer initiatives for Christmas announced today by Dublin Bus.
Extra nite-link buses to the suburbs and more buses to cater for the expected increase in shoppers over the festive period were disclosed by Dublin Bus earlier.
According to Tom Coffey, CEO, DCBA: "Dublin Bus provides an integral service to Dublin commuters and shoppers. We estimate that 55% of shoppers coming into the city centre over the Christmas period will travel into town on Dublin Bus.
"The company's initiatives announced today provide greater value, increased capacity and greater availability from Dublin Bus for people considering coming into the city centre for shopping and leisure activities over the Christmas period," he added.
With more than 4,000 shops and 10 department stores/shopping centres, Dublin city centre is the main Christmas shopping thoroughfare in Ireland.
