Ryanair to open new route

Ryanair is to begin two new routes from Glasgow to Milan and Shannon.

The Shannon route will begin December 4 while the Milan/Bergamo route will commence early next year on January 7.

There will be special introductory fares on both routes.

Speaking today Ryanair's Chief Executive, Michael O'Leary said: "Ryanair's routes from Glasgow Prestwick airport are Scotland's first direct daily services to Milan and Shannon.

"Our commitment to Scotland continues with these new routes and next month 200 new jobs will be created at Ryanair's new maintenance facility at Glasgow Prestwick Airport," he added.
