O'Leary calls on EU commission expedite investigation
Speaking at a conference in Brussels today, Chief Executive of Ryanair, Michael O'Leary, has called on the EU Commission to expedite its investigation into Ryanair's cost base at Brussels Charleroi Airport.
O'Leary said: "We remain confident that Commissioner Loyola de Palacio's decision will put in place a framework that will allow publicly owned airports such as Charleroi and Strasbourg to compete on a level playing field against privately owned airports all over Europe in order to win Ryanair's fast growing, low fare business.
"Wile this delay and uncertainty persists however Ryanair and our regional airport partners will continue to fight and overturn all of the anti-competitive measures attempted by our high fare flag carrier competitors."
