German Finance Minister Hans Eichel has stated that the German economy is set for zero growth this year.

German Finance Minister Hans Eichel has stated that the German economy is set for zero growth this year.

This has been revised own from .75% growth that his Department had forecast earlier this year.

Yesterday, six of Germany's economic think-tanks predicted that the economy would not grow in 2003.

According to Eichel :"The six main economic institutions are working on 0%. I think that is also the government's forecast."
