O'Leary calls for aviation regulator to resign

Ryanair Chief Executive, Michael O'Leary has called for the Aviation Regulator Bill Prasifka to resign.

O'Leary was responding to the news that Aer Rianta was to increase passenger service charges at Cork Airport, following last week's announcement that they would do likewise in Dublin.

The Ryanair chief executive claimed none of these regulations were necessary and prices would not be rising at Dublin Airport if competing terminals were being developed.

O'Leary also said that it was now 12 months since the Government received 13 separate expressions of interest to build competing terminals at Dublin Airport.
