Oracle notifies EU of acquisition

Oracle Corporation has notified its acquisition of PeopleSoft Inc to the European Commission.

This is for regulatory clearance, according to the commission's competition internet site.

The deal was notified on October 14 and the commission will decide by November 17 whether to clear, conditionally clear, or open an indepth probe into the acquisition.
