Carlsberg AS has said Carlsberg Breweries AS acquired a further 4% shareholding in Carlsberg Okocim in Poland for 41m dkr (€20M).

Carlsberg AS has said Carlsberg Breweries AS acquired a further 4% shareholding in Carlsberg Okocim in Poland for 41m dkr (€20M).

The shares were acquired from the German brewery group, Bitburger and this increases its share-holding to 79%.

It said that the acquisition is part of Carlsberg Breweries' strategy to increase its share-holding in important breweries.

Carlsberg Breweries is 60% owned by Carlsberg and 40% by Orkla ASA.
