Nokia clinches mulit-million Thai deal

Nokia Corp announced it has won an order worth $23m (€19m) from Thailand's mobile operator AIS. The contract is to expand its GSM/GPRS service and roll out EDGE networks in northern, central and southern regions of Thailand.

Nokia Corp announced it has won an order worth $23m (€19m) from Thailand's mobile operator AIS. The contract is to expand its GSM/GPRS service and roll out EDGE networks in northern, central and southern regions of Thailand.

The deal covers the immediate delivery of equipment and services required in non-voice strategic cities such as Chiangmai and Phuket, and also includes services such as project management, implementation and network maintenance services.
