Croke Park hosts conference for women in farming
Five hundred women from across the country have been attending the first National IFA Conference for Women in Agriculture at Croke Park today.
Mary McGreal, the chairperson of the organisation's farm family committee, says women are fed up being treated as the invisible workforce in Irish agriculture and are demanding a better deal from the Government.
They want the Government to set up a special unit in the Department of Agriculture to look after their needs.
