Stena Line bids to take over P&O routes
Stena Line is bidding to take over a substantial part of P&O's Irish Sea operations.
The deal, worth in excess of €70m, is subject to approval by the Competition Authority and Britain's Competition Commission.
If it goes ahead, it means Stena Line would take over P&O operations on routes between Larne and Fleetwood, Dublin and Liverpool, and Dublin and Mostyn.
It would involve the transfer of five vessels, complete with crews, to Stena.
