The maker of the board game Monopoly has threatened to sue the American creator of Ghettopoly, in which “playas” build crack houses on Cheap Trick Avenue instead of hotels on the Boardwalk.

The maker of the board game Monopoly has threatened to sue the American creator of Ghettopoly, in which “playas” build crack houses on Cheap Trick Avenue instead of hotels on the Boardwalk.

“We want to make it clear that Hasbro has absolutely no connection to the reprehensible ‘Ghettopoly’ game,” Frank Bifulco, president of Hasbro’s US Games, said in a statement.

The game’s creator, David Chang, from St. Marys, Pennsylvania, did not respond to an e-mail seeking comment yesterday.
