Treasury Holdings purchases German waste technology group
Property company Treasury Holdings has acquired the German waste management group Herhof. The deal is reported to be worth more than €20m.
Herhof specialises in mechanical and biological recycling (MBR) technology, generating a fuel product called Stabilat from household waste.
Treasury purchased a design and manufacturing facility near Frankfurt, three existing plants in Germany and Italy, and two plants currently under construction.
It also bought five contracts, where construction is due to start soon.
Herhof plans further projects in Ireland, promoting its product as an alternative to landfill and incineration.
