Timber home manufacturer to announce 190 new jobs

A company that designs and manufactures timber homes is apparently planning to create 190 new jobs in Co Westmeath.

Griffner Coillte Ltd, a joint venture between the Irish state forestry company and the Austrian firm Griffner Haus, already employs 30 people at its plant in Mullingar.

The company is expected to announce later today that it hopes to increase this number to 220 over the next two years.
