O2 posts growth in H1 to September
Mobile operator O2 has reported a growth in its British operation, although this had been expected to slow in the second half because of cuts and charges from the regulator.
In June 2003, O2 had around 1.27 million customers in Ireland.
The company also said that capital expenditure for the full year would be 5% to 10% below previous estimates of stg£1.3bn (€1.9bn).
Chief executive Peter Erskine said investment in 3G would increase in the second half, and that it would launch services when conditions were right.
