Greencore on target for year-end results

Food group Greencore issued a pre-close statement today reaffirming that it expects to meet market forecasts for the full year when results are announced on November 25.

Analysts expect that this year will be a watershed one for Greencore.

The company's acquisitions and disposals programme of the past few years has meant that the bulk of its businesses are now positioned in the faster growth convenience foods market, mainly in Britain.
