The Association of European Airlines said has reported that European airline passenger traffic rose 4.0% in the week to Sept 7, but noted that this improvement on the previous week gave little cause for encouragement.

The Association of European Airlines said has reported that European airline passenger traffic rose 4.0% in the week to Sept 7, but noted that this improvement on the previous week gave little cause for encouragement.

The organisation also pointed out that at the same time a year earlier airlines were hard hit by a pilot strike.
